(More customer reviews)This little goodie has been around for more than 30 years. And that's how long I've been looking for more of these for other family members! It would be my hunch that the other floss holders manufacturers of today were inspired by this product.
For me, dental floss is too hard to hold around my fingers. They get red - it hurts. Either that or the floss slips through my fingers. Not to mention it is difficult to get to the back teeth.
This holder is long enough to easily floss completely in a minute or two. My dentist told me holders pull the floss so tight that it doesn't get around each tooth. Not true of this holder, don't know about the others. I haven't tried the other holders out there - I only know that this one works! You can use any floss you like!
Bottom line: Easy, cheap way to floss!
