(More customer reviews)The Rotadent toothbrush does an excellent job however the products construction is completely inferior. I purchased the toothbrush online and as Amazon clearly states, online purchases do not qualify for the lifetime warranty. So when my Rotadent died a little over a year after purchasing it, I took the toothbrush apart. Rotadent claims the toothbrush is water proof and can be rinsed and handled like an ordinary toothbrush (as I did). When I disassembled the toothbrush I discovered that the unit is actually as waterproof as the common cell phone! The top where the drive mechanism contacts the brush is not sealed, the bottom where the charger connects is not sealed, and on my brush the center where the unit is assembled was not completely glued...so this seam also leaked. Everything inside the toothbrush was corroded including the battery, the drive unit, the motor, the switch, and charger.
I will purchase another Rotadent because there are no equivalent dental hygiene options available. My replacement Rotadent will not be handled anything like a regular toothbrush however, I will remove the head to rinse it and keep the unit as dry as possible.
