Why she would suggest that someone as youthful as I would want such a product is beyond me! :p
At first it seemed a little watery, so I wasn't sure it could do the job of darkening my roots, but it did.
I'm not sure it was worth nearly $20 to darken my hair, but I fell sucker to my lovely stylists sales pitch.
Frankly I've now found that when I need a quick root pick-me-up I simply use left over eye shadow *, or better still brow color, which matches my hair color to brush on the offending hairline. Viola! Roots are dark and I haven't spent anything extra. This trick, like Color Mark, is only good for hair problems which do NOT exceed about 3/4 of an inch. If you have more than 3/4" goin' on, go see your colorist or buy a bottle of hair color, stat!
On the plus side of this produce that it is designed to stick to the hair and when it does it will look natural.
The foam applicator is wonderful (stay away from anything which even remotely resembles a mascara brush! Bad, very bad!)
The applicator glides over the offending hair, leaving a nice layer of color. The more passes with the foam tipped applicator, the more likelihood color will stick.
Color Mark comes in many shades. *Eye shadow to blend the roots will NOT be sufficient on days where you are battling heat, sun, heavy sweating; pool, steamy jacuzzi, beach or shower. Eye shadow does make a great inexpensive emergency filler when you're heading out the door to an important meeting or other social event. When using eyeshadow for emergency cover ** Do NOT, under ANY circumstances, use a glitter or shiny eyeshadow to treat the offending grow out! Use ONLY MATT COLOR EYESHADOW and avoid directly hitting your scalp at the center part (altho this is not too big an issue....consider this a heads-up)
