(More customer reviews)I have fine (but tons of it) straight blonde hair just past my shoulders. It took me forever to figure out the spin pin with such straight hair, but now I'm hooked. The updo is too hard for me to use, but the pony pouf was an interesting product.
First off my hair squishes enough so that in a pony tail it's just right, any thicker and it would be spilling out. I prefer to wear this half up half down. When I do that it looks really good and I have to 'click it twice' instead of the once when I'm in a pony tail. It also stays put all day and adds some interesting volume. The trick is to figure at what height and angle to use it, with my hair being so straight sometimes if it's positioned too low it looks silly with the waterfall effect coming out, too high and it slips off. No this isn't worth the eight dollars on Amazon, but if you want a neat clip for half up half down, or you have thin enough hair for a pony, this is a pretty cool thing worth the five dollars at Target.

(More customer reviews)Ok, so I was really confused the first time I tried to use this product, simply because the instructions not well written! What works for my hair is to make a bun, and then insert the pin through the bun (not the base like the instructions say), so you will catch the twists in your hair. Then, when the ends are just barely poking out of the top of your bun, then you can flip up the base of the pin while pressing the two prongs against and then down your scalp. You end up with the curved part up and the two prongs pointing down towards your neck and well hidden by your hair. Since my twists are always different, it may take a couple of tries to get just the right one, but I always get a very nice updo that looks elegant, yet only takes under a minute to do! I also like that it STAYS! I actually plan to use this updo for when I get married next month!

(More customer reviews)Well, I usually give good reviews but I have to be honest. What are these bob pins used for? They are so flimsy they are not tight or strong enough to hold hair. If you're using these to keep your hair back or from falling in your face, I suggest you buy a different brand. There are a lot of pins in this tub but I still havn't found a use for them since using them in my hair is nonsense. They fall out. Your hair isn't clamped so your hair falls down. Just save your money and buy a well know strong pin. I'm extremely unhappy with my purchase. If anyone out there has purchased these and found a use for them let us all know. I hate waste.

(More customer reviews)I am a complete hair-do idiot. I can put my hair in a pony, a braid, or a bun. It took me a year to figure out how to do that little bump of hair on top of my head. And, while I have a LOT of hair, the strands are very fine, so my hair doesn't hold bobby pins, barrettes, hair bands, head bands, etc. very well. They almost always fall out. I bought these today from a store in town and I put them in as soon as I got home. That was five hours ago. They have stayed in and my bun has stayed tight to my head! I'm completely amazed. These are so worth the money. :)
