(More customer reviews)You need this brush if you are miserable with loosing your long hair when brushing. The tips on this brush are treated, so that it can pass through your hair without pulling.
Truly this brush is better than using "Johnson's No More Tangles" with another high- end brush on wet hair.
This brush normally retails for $80.00 and is far better than any Mason Pearson, Kent or Aveda brush. (I have tried some of those other manufactures brushes and was not satisfied with the results.)This Acca Kappa manufacture's website is http://www.accakappa.it/
You will see there that this "960 Professional" brush is the finest that they make in their "Professional Collection".
The balanced feel of this 9 1/2 inches long (total length) brush comes from its heavy exotic solid wood Kotibe frame. The brush head is approximately 3 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches long. The Teflon type bristles are ¾ of an inch long. The tips are solid with the bristles. (Not like the brushes that have those added bulbous tips that wear, or break off and get rough edges that will eventually rip your hair.) This 960 brush's finish also has a wonderful sensuous smooth texture!As far as lowest price goes, if you search with "Yahoo" you will find Amazon has the lowest price on this Acca Kappa 960 Professional brush, with drugstore.com coming in second.

(More customer reviews)I was looking for a good boar-bristle brush that was also eco-friendly, and this was the perfect answer! Not that expensive, and works very well. I really like that it also has harder pins, which help the boar-bristle to get into the rest of the hair. I didn't find this brush painful, but very comfortable, and was very satisfied with the quality and performance. It also has a cute little design on the back, which makes it look even nicer. I would definitely recommend this brush; there really isn't any reason not to!I recently purchased the regular wooden oval brush in large, and like it just as much! The bristles (is that the right word?) have really wide rounded ends that make it really comfortable, and keep it from pulling or tangling. It really is a great brush, and works just as well if not better than my old uber expensive swissco brush.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the 3 1/2" oval brush and wow! This brush is worth 10 times what it costs. I love the fact that even though I have fine hair, it holds all of it while styling, so it shapes perfectly, unlike the many others I have tried which let my hair slip out while blow drying. This brush holds like no other!
If you have fine hair that is hard to style, stop throwing your money away on cheap brush after cheap brush...just find the size you need and get one of these. Your hair will dry faster and the style will hold better. I even styled my hair in a hurry with no styling aids and poof! Excellent shape, just needed a touch of spray. Anyone who knows me knows my hair never behaves that well!
As for me, I will never buy another brand; I am sold because I am now one happy girl with - finally! - easy to style hair. Wish I'd have found this years ago!

(More customer reviews)The Marilyn Brush replaced all my other brushes. I have the Uptown and Downtown, and they both do wonders to my hair. Yes, its a bit pricey, but if you want traffic stopping hair, this is for you! I have coarse, long black hair, and every time I brush, it looks like newly clean brushed "volumey" hair instead of stringy oily hair. Downtown is great in your purse. I guess what makes this different from other brushes is the little plastic thingies that shoot out more than the boar hairs. It really does massage my head. It might be rough on some heads, but on mine, it feels good and it actually builds circulation to prevent hair loss. Just make sure you clean the brush every now and then (I never realized how much lint I captured in my hair).

Marilyn Double S Pro Brush Review

(More customer reviews)I have fine, straight blond hair and my sister has thick, straight dark hair. We have both tried several different hair brushes and marilyn's brushes have been our favorite picks for years. They are also the top pick at the salon I love in the city. I have tried the ovali, the tuxedo pro, and now the double s pro for straightening. I prefer the bigger brushes for body and style. I wash and blow dry/style my hair everyday. I color and cut every 5 weeks. I'm a little ocd about it all. But I use a good conditioner and hairdryer (I've tried several, pureology is my overall favorite for shampoo and conditioners, I really like sebastian's potion 9 for dry hair days, and the babyliss is the best dryer for price and function). And my hair still looks and feels healthy after several years of the same pattern. (I rarely use or need styling products.)
The marilyn tuxedo pro I think works best for gripping hair and leaving it silky smooth, but it also tends to curl the ends more and give more body at the scalp with a blow out. So right now I'm using the double s pro for the flat/straight look. (Although why, why, why I go through so much for a style so simple I don't know.) My stylist has used the ovali for years, and can have a client dryed and styled and looking great in about 10 minutes flat. She has wonder arms I guess. My sister is one of 'those' who can go a day or two without washing her hair and still look good. She usally waits 'till her hair is mostly dry, then dries and styles with the ovali. She's used it for years too.
With everyday use, I usually like to replace my brush about every six months, give or take.

The DCNL K80008 Organics Professional 100% Boar Bristle Military Brush Review

OK, it isn't a Kent brush for $60, but its close enough for my needs. DCNL, the manufacturer, is part of Vidal Sasson and the brush is made in China.
