(More customer reviews)I have tried both the Instyler and the Celebrity Styler.
Here are the pros & cons of the Celebrity Styler, compared to the Instyler:
PROS:
1) Insulated rubber-ish grip feels cooler and more comfortable in your hand.
2) Wider range of adjustable temperature settings with LCD display.
3) Less expensive than the Instyler.
4) Celebrity Styler has a more sturdier build, and does not feel flimsy the way Instyler does.
5) Quieter motor.
6) Ability to turn the rotating feature on or off.
7) Very cute pink/black design. :3
CONS (more like fixable cons):
1) Turned itself off for seemingly no reason, but then found out that it only happens when either my hair is getting stuck, or if the iron is not heated up all the way. So, I just comb/brush my hair better before using, and wait until the iron is done heating up before using it. Also, if you are really having trouble with your hair getting stuck, you can turn the rotating feature off for a quick run through of your hair, then turn the rotating back on for a finishing polish.
2) Similar to above, my hair was getting stuck. But, by brushing my hair better before using the iron, and taking smaller sections (about 1 inch), this isn't a problem anymore!
3) I thought maybe the iron wasn't as hot as the Instyler... but it heats up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, so I must be delusional, because that's hot!So... all in all... the pros FAR outweigh the cons!
If I need to buy another rotating iron... I'm buying this one!

InStyler ® Rotating Iron Review

(More customer reviews)I loved this product as I was able to get some volume from my fine, thin hair. However, the end cap on the rotating barrel fell off while in use. The screw that holds it all together is inside the cap so even my handyman husband could not fix this. Fortunately, I purchased this from a company that gives refunds - no questions asked. I wouldn't buy this again. It is also easy to burn your head if your hair is short.

The brush also detaches for cleaning.Not a high powered dryer, so partially drying hair first is recommended.

The Original InStyler Rotating Hot Iron Hair Straightener Review

(More customer reviews)I have had this styler for about 6 months and I love it. I was skeptical at first, to say the least, but it has turned out to be my can't-live-without iron. I can style my shoulder length hair in 10 minutes, or less if I'm rushed, instead of 20 minutes with my other irons. I read through many web reviews before I bought it. Here are a few things that bothered people and my take on them:
*It is loud - Since it has a motor, it is not silent like the infomercials imply. Although it is a bit noisy, it is not loud enough to bother me.
*It burns - It does get HOT, even on the lowest setting and, yes, if you touch it you will get burned like with any other hair iron. You will probably get scorched a time or two or three..., as I did, especially when getting used to it. Be careful!
*It only rotates in one direction - This is true and it takes time to get used to. I have learned to use both my left and right hands to straighten my hair in the direction of the rotation. I slowed down a segment in the infomercial and one model smoothed her hair against the rotation. It turned out great, so I guess it's okay but I haven't tried it myself.
*It doesn't work on very short hair - This styler works wonders on my medium length hair but I cannot use it on my 2 inch long bangs. It makes them stick out weird. Based on that, I don't think those with very short hair would benefit from it unless they come out with a smaller barrel.
*Hair gets stuck in the barrel - This has never happened to me and I use it almost every day.
*Hair gets damaged - Most hot tools will cause some type of damage to hair. Although my hair does seem a little drier because I use the styler so often, my hairstylist says it is still healthy. I use conditioner and thermal spray to minimize damage.
While not perfect, this is the best styler I've ever used, hence the 5 stars. I am even getting one for my sister.

You can deal with shampoos and conditioners. Professional hair styling can be expensive. You've got the insight but you don't have the proper styling tools. You really don't need tools. You just need the InStyler
