(More customer reviews)I received one of these as a Christmas gift along with a badger-hair brush. At first I did not like the clunky look of it, but it does things that other mugs do not. There is a little platform inside the mug that snugly holds a puck of shave soap so that it does not slide around or fall out when you dump the excess water. This little platform centers and elevates the soap slightly so that the excess water pools below the platform and doesn't turn your soap to mush. It is made of a good, solid rubber so that when you drop it in your tile shower, your tiles are safe from damage. It may not be the prettiest thing to look at, but it could be uglier, and you won't find a better lather mug

(More customer reviews)Guys, invest in a badger shaving brush and then use this stuff. It smells great and is a much better shave using my mach 3 than any product found in Walgreens. This one comes with a nice pottery bowl which looks better than the traditional mug.

(More customer reviews)I love my Conk Mug. The one I received is not the one in the picture, I received the one with RED lettering. I still like it, but if you are picking this by color you will be disappointed. I would have rated 5 stars if I had received the one in the picture. I had chosen this one over the one with the red lettering for the green color, but received the red one anyway.
I used a coffee mug before, and this apothecary mug is made for making lather the way the side walls are shaped. You don't bump your thumb and fingers any more and it is easier to keep the lather in the mug.
Try one, you'll like it!!!

(More customer reviews)How much can you say about a shaving mug? This is my first mug and it does what it is supposed to. It was a bit bigger than I was expecting with a 4" diameter and it it is 3.25" tall. It won't fit in the bathroom (mirror) cabinet but that is not a problem for me.

(More customer reviews)THis is a superb shave bowl. It is nicer in "real life" than in the picture -- I know this is hard to believe. I simply let the soap dry after use and then pop on the lid. I've been using it for several weeks. Holding up really well! This should last for years. The only problem is that my wife wants it for a jewelry box.
