(More customer reviews)I loved this brush when I bought the first one. I would use it on my face in the shower, it is very gentle. One day when I was using it though it just fell to pieces and crashed to the floor. It felt like glass going into my face. I knew I had dropped it before and thought that maybe it had a hairline crack and this caused the breakage. So I bought a new one to replace it, the exact same thing happened with this one after just 2 weeks. I contacted Earth Therapeutics and told them what had happened and asked for a replacement brush, since I had already purchased 2 in a matter of a few months. They just responded that they would pass the information onto their Research Department. The next time I was in Mom's, the store where I purchased the brushes I informed them of my experience and they said they would discontinue carrying the product. Whether they did or not, I don't know. I know I will never buy another Earth Therapeutics product in my life. It's not fun having what feels like pieces of glass break apart in your face when your cleaning it!

Clarisonic Mia(TM) Skin Cleansing System - Pink Review

(More customer reviews)I have been hearing such good things about the Clarisonic, I had to see for myself. I had researched, and people felt the Mia was easier to handle, more reasonably priced and worked just as well as the more expensive models.
After a month of use, I can honestly state my skin is feeling like silk. One of the articles I read about the Clarisonic stated that the cleansing action allows your moisturizers to be better absorbed into the skin, since the gentle exfoliation unblocks the pores and gets down to the fresh, clean skin.
I love the fact that the waterproof Mia goes into the shower, and I can have a luxurious facial spa treatment while my hair conditioner works. It's such a nice feeling that it's almost disappointing when the unit automatically goes off after 1 minute. The fancier, more expensive Clarisonic models beep every few seconds to let you know to move to a new area. I don't need that feature, as it is natural to keep the brush head moving, like an electric toothbrush. The Mia is much smaller and more lightweight than the other models. I can't imagine anything bigger. I am afraid it would slip out of my hand in the shower.
The charger is a neat little magnetic disc that adheres to the unit while charging. It's so small, it would be easy to bring on a trip. I did not need to recharge yet, but after 21 days, put it back on the charger. The literature says it will hold a charge for 20 days.
I have absolutely no regrets having bought the Mia. I highly recommend it, and think it is one of the best products I have ever used on my skin.

With proper care (follow directions) it will last you just as long. the bristels never wear out, but the handle does com undone. Best results if you use brush while your body is dry. circular motion over all those ruff, spotted, dimples neglected areas. after shower and body oil skin is soft, exfoliated and smooth. also works well wet. hang dry in sunlight (uv kills any yuck and odor). after a few uses smooth unmarred body skin is ready for armless, backless, short anything view. Happy Exfoliating.

(More customer reviews)I bought this brush from another retailer for dry skin brushing, I a saw pretty decent difference after the first use. Just make sure to rinse the bristles when you first buy it, it is made with natural wood. The bristles can scratch if your skin isn't used to it or very sensitive, but it does what it is suppose to do. Ill see how the bristles hold up over time, usually when you use a brush that gets wet you want to place it face down to dry so the water doesnt swell the wood and make the bristles fallout...But overall it seems to be a great product.
*** Update March 26 2011***
Ok so after 2-3 dayS of use I did let the brush get wet and it damn near cracked into two pieces after it dried. This brush doesnt have a protective coat to keep the water from soaking into the wood. SO THIS IS REALLY FOR DRY BRUSHING ONLY!!

(More customer reviews)The brush is ideal for my needs. It is a DRY skin brush. That means you use it dry, not wet. I normally do a fully body brush down each morning before I take my shower. Brushing helps to remove all the dead skin cells, as well as stimulating the superficial lymphatic system. For me the stiffness of the bristles is just right ... it is invigorating without being irritating. The first few days I used it I had to brush fairly lightly as my skin was not used to this kind of sensation, but after several days it became a pleasant feeling and I was able to apply more pressure. If you have very thin skin or brittle skin you should probably start very, very lightly and as your skin becomes healthier, increase the pressure. I chose this brush over others primarily because it is a vegan product. I am very happy with my choice.
