(More customer reviews)I bought every size of the Mason-Pearson Boar Bristle hairbrushes and the detangler brush. I gave one boar-bristle brush as a gift. They are nice. They brush your hair all the way to the scalp! If you wanting to splurge, these are quality hairbrushes. I'm pretty sure there are some quality hairbrushes that are less expensive, but they don't have the 'name' and haven't had the publicity these have had. I was obsessing about buying hairbrushes when I bought mine. I'm over that now and into obsessing about other things, so if you can afford it and really want it, no harm. If you are on a budget, keep looking.
