Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I used...
Conair Interplak (9 months. Bought at Target)
I now use...
Oral-B Vitality Precision Clean (2 months and counting. Bought on Amazon).
Comparison...
1) Batteries: Both are rechargeable (no need to fuss with buying and replacing batteries). Interplak recommends you run the batteries down every 6 months and then do a full recharge before use again. Oral-B encourages you to keep the toothbrush on the charger all the time, as they claim "there is no such thing as over-charging". Interplak has a light that turns on to let you know it's charging, Oral-B does not. Interplak's charger is bulkier, but that's only because it has two ports for you to stick extra/replacement brushes on.
2) Power: Interplak has decent power, but Oral-B is definitely more powerful, and very feisty.
3) Replacement Brushes: To get the best cleaning quality from your electric toothbrush, you should replace the heads around every 3 months. Oral-B brush heads are a bit smaller, which is better for navigating around your mouth and "precision cleaning". Department stores are more likely to carry Oral-B replacements, but both are readily available online, and they go for around $5 to $10, depending.
4) Function and use: Dentists recommend at least two minutes of brush time. Oral-B has a two-minute timer, signaled NOT by sound (like I thought), but by short, intermittent bursts, to let you know two minutes are up. This feature is on all the time and cannot be disabled. Interplak does not have this feature. Oral-B has a simple on/off toggle button. Interplak has two buttons - one for on, one for off.
Conclusion...
Personally, I recommend Oral-B over Conair. It was like, NOW I feel like my teeth are clean! Happy shopping~
