This looked my answer to my shaving desires. I could now lather up like the good old days, but almost immediately bristles started coming out and in no time the whole brush came apart. The mug and soap are fine, but it was necessary to visit a local drug store and purchase a new brush which is working fine.

(More customer reviews)If you travel a lot, but still like a blade shave, this is great. Bristles are as good as my regular brush, and the neat way it packs up makes packing very easy. I worried about it draining water into the travel kit but it doesn't. Very well made so it provides a firm hold. Definitely worth the price. Had it about a year and no signs of deterioration.
I would also order the Col Ichabod travel soap dish. Good soap, very tight so no leaks there, either.

Tweezerman Men's Shaving Brush Review

(More customer reviews)Badger hair shaving brushes are not the cheapest items in the world. Not to mention usually you get what you pay for; however I have to say that this brush bucks that trend.
The brush does the job at a price MUCH better than the competitors.
My one minor issue:
-the first brush I bought repeatedly would lose hairs each time I used it. I hoped it would stop at some point but this went on for a month or so. In a strange sort of luck, I managed to leave the brush behind on a business trip and had to purchase a new one. The new brush works like a charm.
In a nutshell, I would not hesitate, if you need a shaving brush and do NOT want to pay an arm and a leg then this is the brush for you.
On a side note, if you are considering this brush you should also consider (if you have not already) switching to a Safety Razor rather than the economy razors you find in the supermarket. My shaving experience and outcome has changed considerably as a result of using this brush as well as the safety razor. My recommendation for a safety razor: Merkur Classic Safety Razor, Straight - #178
