Can't remember exactly, but am pretty sure I had it by the time she was three or four months old. She will chew on both ends and now turns it around herself. We have managed to keep up with both of them too (one in diaper bag and one at home). I am now buying this as a baby gift because it is great. I will keep a stash of them at home, as it is the perfect addition to any baby gift. Strangers have commented on this countless times, and what a great idea it is! Hightly recommend.
