(More customer reviews)Just so you understand where I am coming from, I have the coarsest black African hair that I know of and when I used this flat iron at home, my hair looked better than it normally did just leaving the salon. Granted I have very thick hair and normally not enough time to part out the recommended little sections for straightening; even with big sections and a few passes (therefore more than 1), my hair was silkier than many hair extensions, once I was through. The silky texture lasts for over a week, even through humid weather. I don't use heating elements on my hair very much but when I first got this flat iron, it worked so well, I used it quite a bit and it didn't damage my hair. I'll point out that I took care to use heat-protecting serums and conditioners before I used the flat iron. As someone who has tried many a hair product and has a big box of hair dryers, curling irons and flat irons, this is by far the best flat iron I have ever used. It has worked better in my hair than CHI irons or GHD irons. And at $50 from Amazon Supersaver(+free shipping), it is a steal (seriously, market value for these irons sits at around $200). The best bang for your buck, no doubt.
When I read reviews of products, I am always looking for the review that tells me yes, buy this product, it's worth your money and will serve you well. Though I rely on reviews, I don't often post any online but this flat iron deserves it. It is that good!

Marvy Sanitizing #3 Unbreakable Acrylic Jar 20oz Review

(More customer reviews)I wanted to replace my Marvy jar since it was made of glass and too big for my little cart I have to carry it on. I wanted something exactly like this: tall and skinny. It's a nice change to actually be able to fit my shears and razor into my Marvy jar and being able to close the top. My only concern is the top just kind of sits there and doesn't really stay in place unless aligned correctly. There isn't a nice rubber bottom like my other one had. Although, it's extremely durable. I tested that by dropping it a few times on my wooden floor. It's worth it all in the end.

I was happily surprised to see how well made and easy it was for her to use. She is nine and is just getting into styling her hair and she was able to use this over and over again. (More customer reviews)This jar is great, just a glass jar with a very sturdy base. Does what you would expect and comes with a slip resistant base.
It's big enough to hold nail scissors, trimmer blades, and manicure tools completely submerged. It's not big enough for a Comb or full trimming shears though. You'll need the full size comb for that.
I keep my trimmer blades, manicure tools, and once and a while I'll dip the blade of my straight edge razor in it. If that's all you need, this is the size for you.The stainless steel basket with retrieving handle also helps you not have to dip your fingers in the barbicide (not really recommended).

The only way to dry hair of my texture is to pull it straight as I dry it. This dryer has a new brush attachment and the bristles are not strong enough to handle thick, course hair. The brush doesn't look like it does in the picture description: it's brisltes are clear white in colour (like the William Marvy #445 flat brush), and it is ROUND in shape, NOT oval - as depicted in the picture! The only difference between this duster and the others is the short handle.
It does the job nevertheless...

(More customer reviews)This item is a bit bulky, and certainly not a pretty addition to your bathroom, but it really does give me an "extra hand" when styling my hair. I like that I can either use two hands for styling, or set the dryer on a low, diffused setting to dry my hair while I'm putting on make-up. I've also used it in the laundry room for drying my dog after her bath, so that I can have both hands available. It's easy to put up and take down to move from room to room for that purpose. Note: It MUST be attached to a non-porous surface such as a mirror (or the top of the washer or dryer in the case of the dog-drying). The large suction-cup base will not stay attached to a cabinet or wall. I do wish there was an option for attaching it permanently; I would consider ordering a second one so that I didn't have to move it.

Neck Duster #64 Long Handle Review

(More customer reviews)This is the skinniest neck brush I've ever seen. It's probably only about 1" in diameter. I'll take their word for it that it's real boar bristle but the ends are all raggedy and the bristles very sparse.
I'd rather have had synthetic bristles and a brush that can really brush.
Not a major investment, granted but now I have to order another and after this experience don't trust the pictures here on Amazon.com any more.

They do still make them but are only sold in a few places. They passed the info on and sent a free one along. The product number is 01629. The item shown is nice, a bit stiffer than the goody product ( I tried both), but shipping is very high. The goody distributor will send as many as you want for ten bucks. I believe the per item cost is one seventy nine.
