make it very easy to get a good flat contact surface against the
teeth. The bristles were very durable and I soaked mine in peroxide
and it lasted much longer than an Oral-B or similar premium toothbrush.
Well worth the price and the bigger surface area of the head makes
each stroke approximately 4 times as effective as the small head
styles, by my calculations.
I really love it and will buy it again and again!

Matter-of-fact, they cost less than that, but I don't remember the exact price. I had stumbled across them because they were the least expensive, but not a cheaply made toothbrush.

After use, wipe the manual or electric toothbrush to remove all moisture or shake it vigorously, put the DRY toothbursh into this IZAP UV Toothbrush Sanitizer, close the case door which automatically turns on the 'killer ultra-violet light bulb', and the job of killing e. coli, salmonella, strep, lysteria, pseudomonas, and other unspecified germs is done in only 6 minutes. Then the bulb automatically turns off. The container also functions as a closed toothbrush storage area for one toothbrush. BTW the case comes with one nice toothbrush with medium soft bristles. Great idea for home or on the road! Requires 2 AAA batteries which are not included; the UV bulb is included and rated at 8000 hours, 90 day warranty. This unit remains the simplest, sleekest, most mobile, and the most preferred of my two toothbrush cleaners. My Highest Recommendation. Five HEALTHY Stars.
***UPDATE: the bulb ceased lighting after 120 days but I'll take the blame because it WAS due to excessive moisture which caused one of the battery terminals to rust-the one which can't be seen unless you remove the three phillips screws on the back. I cleaned the terminals, put in new batteries, and the UV bulb ignited: the new batteries lasted about 6 months, but your mileage may vary. Just remember to wipe your toothbrush dry before inserting it. This unit gets My Highest Recommendation !!! ***

Just try it. My experience is that you'll get the best mouth brushing you've ever had, in 1/2 the time, and the brush will last about 9 months.
After you've used these brushes, a regular toothbrush will feel like you are trying to brush your teeth with a q-tip.

(More customer reviews)I don't know if it is the ingredients in the "freshening bead" or the brushing action, but somehow, this little device does leave the mouth feeling much fresher than eating a mint can. It is little weird to use, the brush bristles aren't as fine as a toothbrush and you have to manipulate the brush around a bit to get the little bead to burst, but it a very refreshing sensation. It leaves your mouth with a long lasting freshness when you can't use a real toothbrush. I like it better than mints because they seem to leave my mouth feeling unpleasant again once they are gone and I'm not super-fond of chewing gum. Not a substitute for proper daily toothbrushing practices.

(More customer reviews)After years of sawing away with a conventional toothbrush, my dentist recommended an electric toothbrush. The standard Oral-B refills work good, but tend to be a little hard on my gums, resulting in occasional irritation.
Enter the Oral-B Extra Soft refills; with these I get the same quality cleaning as with the standard refills, but without any gum irritation whatsoever! My gums had continued to erode/recede until I started using these brush heads, but now seem to have stopped. If you have similar issues, you may want to try this product - it does a great job cleaning as well, the bristles are very flexible and reach deep between teeth!

The idea of buying a natural bristle brush is that the ends of each bristle will be naturally rounded so it doesn't scrape your teeth and ruin the enamel. This toothbrush has flat-cut bristles with 90 degree edges (NOT GOOD FOR TEETH). Also it is very large. Maybe i have an unusually small mouth, but i just could not comfortably brush with it or get into all the nooks and crannies in the back of my mouth. Plus the bristles tend to be a lot softer than synthetics. So if you want the equivalent of a synthetic soft, you want to buy a medium natural bristle.

(More customer reviews)The head of the toothbrush is small and the neck is slim, so it is easy to reach all areas in my mouth. I find the bristles medium-soft. This ionic toothbrush really does work to give me that "clean mouth feeling" after a professional tooth cleaning. Before, brushing teeth was a chore but now it's fun to brush and immediately feel and see the results.
I'm really happy I decided to buy an ionic toothbrush. I did as much research as possible to make sure this wasn't some quack product. My teeth became sensitive to cold liquids the next day (too clean? haha) but using a toothpaste for sensitive teeth cured that for me. I'm using the new Sensodyne ProNamel and I do recommend it.
