(More customer reviews)I'm not sure if the other reviewer followed the directions but you NEED to charge the battery for at least 1 hour before use. However, the sprayer works perfectly fine plugged in of course, it may be harder to spray what you need sprayed.
The tanning solution itself, I will give 5 stars. It smells great like the old Hawaiian Tropics sun tan lotion. It's the first tanning spray that actually smells GOOD! It's not an instant tan I noticed it took a couple hours or so for the color to really come through. I love the machine so far and plan to use it with other tanning solutions.
